North Lakes State College - 1 week work experience
The Italian Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Australia, Queensland, on Monday 11th April welcomed two Italian language students from North Lakes State College for a work experience. The two collegians, Audrey Leong and Nina Wos, have spent one week at the Chamber, proudly helping the whole staff with all services required.
Audrey and Nina also confirmed that it was great to see the close relationship that Italy shares with Australia. "Being immersed in the Italian culture for 5 whole days intensified our love for the country. This experience was made thoroughly enjoyable by the warm, welcoming staff that never failed to support us!" - they said.
We wish to thank them and look forward to this partnership between ICCI Qld and colleges in Brisbane to be implemented in the future.

SANCTUARY COVE INTERNATIONAL BOAT SHOW, l'imperdibile salone nautico - dal 19 al 22 maggio 2011
La più grande fiera nautica su acqua dell’Asia-Pacifico, Sanctuary Cove International Boat Show, che si terra’ nella regione turistica della Gold Coast (Qld) dal 19 al 22 Maggio, riconferma la sua importanza essenziale per gli operatori del settore. Questa full immersion della durata di 4 giorni nell’industria navale prevede la presenza già accreditata di 420 esibitori, piu’ di 400 imbarcazioni su acqua, 400 tra barche e motoscafi esposti nei padiglioni ed oltre 50mila visitatori. Una delle ragioni del successo internazionale dell’evento, giunto alla 23esima edizione, e’ che ogni anno il Sanctuary Cove venga scelto come vetrina per lanciare circa 100 nuovi prodotti sul mercato mondiale. La Camera di Commercio Italiana del Queensland sarà presente a sostegno del Made in Italy, quale referente per le aziende italiane che intendano intraprendere o sviluppare relazioni commerciali con l’Australia, assistendole nella promozione dei loro prodotti e nella ricerca e di opportunità commerciali.

Held at the St. Joseph’s Campbell Centre on the 6th of May at 6pm, this production is in support of a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for 30 talented boys from St. Joseph’s College to perform for Pope Benedict XVI in Italy’s St. Peter’s Basilica, Vatican City.
This prestigious fundraising event will include hors d’oeuvres, a complimentary beverage, and the auctioning of original artworks.
